Referrals are usually made by social services or the ministries of Health and Welfare or Education as well as the health insurance services of families. Individuals or families interested in admissions are free to call at (+3 210) 23 14 332 and apply.

All referrals are placed on a waiting list after completing an application awaiting a full assessment by the center's multidisciplinary team in order to determine if the 'Theotokos' services are appropriate to the needs of the specific child or young adult.

The initial assessment usually takes one to two days and includes the following components:

• Psychological
• Psychiatric
• Neurological
• Occupational therapy and or Educational
• Social and Family history
